Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, A BATHING APE® will launch its first collaboration collection with ©SAINT Mxxxxxx (SAINT MICHAEL), created by designer Yuta Hosokawa and artist Cali Dewitt.
The collection consists of three graphic T-shirts featuring BAPE®'s iconic Ape motif and classic messages such as "Ape Shall Never Kill Ape", arranged in the unique style of ©SAINT Mxxxxxx. The graphic design is inspired by American comic books and toys, one of BAPE®'s roots. On all the graphics, "SAINT APE" or "SAINT BAPE", which are special names for the collaboration are printed. The T-shirt is a ©SAINT Mxxxxxx original with a supple, thick, modern silhouette, to which an authentic vintage style that ©SAINT Mxxxxxx specializes in is applied.
These special items filled with the passion of both brands will be available at authorized A BATHING APE® and ©SAINT Mxxxxxx stores from Saturday, April 29th, 2023.
ABOUT ©SAINT Mxxxxxx (SAINT MICHAEL)
A new concept brand launched in 2013 by Yuta Hosokawa, designer of the charismatic and popular Japanese brand "READYMADE", and Cali Dewitt, a Los Angeles-based multi-visual artist. The brand creates T-shirts, sweatshirts, and other items that are made in a realistic vintage style and using hand-painted techniques. The brand was presented at the SHOWROOM held in Paris, France in January 2020, and expanded to Japan and other countries in the fall of 2020.
