A BATHING APE®︎ known as BAPE®︎ introduces "unda" wrapped in ABC CAMO.
"unda" is an innovative shoe creative by product design unit "goyemon" that fuses Geta (leather-soled sandal) and sneaker soles. By adopting PU material and an air sole for the midsole to reduce shock, making it feel as if you were walking on clouds. The footbed, which is in direct contact with the soles of the feet, also has a low-resilience cushion for a fluffy feel and outstanding comfort. Velvet fabric is used for the outer portion of the strap, and PU suede is used for the inner side of the strap where it touches the skin.
If the sole is too soft, it may feel difficult to walk on, but the rectangular-shaped footbed allows weight to be placed on the entire bottom of the foot, making it easier to maintain balance. In addition, the toes are not constricted and are highly breathable, so there is no risk of moisture build-up.
In this collaboration, we boldly showcased BAPE®’s signature ABC CAMO on the footbed.
Sizes are S (23.5-25.0cm), M (25.5-27.0cm), L (27.5-29.0cm), and XL (29.5-31.0cm). These are completely new shoes that combine Japanese tradition with the latest technology, but like Geta, they have no left or right side and can be worn on either side of the foot. We invite you to experience the unique way of wearing unda, where protruding toe and heel were considered stylish during the Edo period in Japan.
