Complex unveils the Mr. x BAPE®︎ Collection, merging BAPE®︎’s iconic streetwear legacy with the bold and Kawaii visual world of Mr., the Japanese artist whose work blends anime, otaku and youth subculture. This collection debuted at Miami Art Week on expanding BAPE®︎’s relevance into the global art scene and establishing itself beyond fashion.
The limited collection will consist of signature BAPE® staples like the BAPE STA™, Tees and Shark Hoodies, all reimagined by the contemporary, hyper-saturated visual world of Mr., the celebrated Japanese artist known for explorations of youth identity. The collection is anchored by the BAPE STA™, a vibrant, collectible take on BAPE®︎’s iconic silhouette that translates Mr.’s playful yet provocative illustrative style into wearable form.
Also debuting for the first time as part of the collection, the BAPE STORE® MIAMI CAMO colorway, which will be available exclusively at the BAPE® POP-UP STORE MIAMI, located in Palm Court at the Miami Design District (140 NE 39th Street, Suite PC203, store hours 11:00a - 8:00p). The new release features a playful camo design that blends the vibrant turquoise blue of Miami’s Biscayne Bay, the warm hues of the South Beach sunset, the bold colors of the city’s iconic Art Deco buildings, and the soft tones of its white sand beaches.
